A Beautiful Labor Day Celebration!

There could not have been a more perfect day for a wedding than last Saturday. Perfect temperature, refreshing breeze, and the gorgeous grounds of Forest Park completed the fairy tale setting. Robin and Jim were married on the grounds near the Cabanne House on the edge of Forest Park late Saturday afternoon surrounded by their family and friends. Directly following the ceremony, we were lucky enough to cater their reception up the hill at the historic house!
Robin and Jim wanted a variety of unique and delicious small plates to provide their guests with a fresh take on wedding fare. We knew we could deliver exactly what they wanted. The menu featured Mango Chardonnay Coconut Shrimp, Beef Tenderloin Skewers, Honey-Goat Cheese Spread with flatbread and crackers, Honey Barbeque Chicken Quesadilla Purses, and a number of other fun small plates. We even featured something the happy couple requested special–Pomegranate Guacamole. Yummm-o!
But after dinner, it was all eyes on the Extravagant Dessert Bar. It was a sweet-tooth’s heaven on earth. Traditional Hollyberry favorites such as our Award-Winning cookies and bars paired stunningly next to the couple’s wedding cake and fun new bite-size desserts. I’d have to say these were a huge hit. The mini gooey butter cupcakes and mini cake and pie pops flew off the table like hot cakes! One of our servers didn’t even make it to the display with a newly stocked tray of cake pops—the guests picked them all before she could set them down!
With the beautiful weather, delicious food, and loving family, I’d say this wedding was a huge success!!
All these amazing ceremony photos were provided courtesy of the couple’s fantastic photographer, Michelle Ross at Under Grace Photo. She did an amazing job capturing this special day so that Robin and Jim can relive it again and again!
